About Jenny
Welcome!
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California, LMFT #117427.
Expectations, stress, and anxiety can sometimes get in the way of living a wholehearted authentic lifestyle. We each have a story, but not everyone has the opportunity to share those stories especially the untold parts of us. I am here to provide a safe space to experience freedom, acceptance, and healing.
In 2005, I began my counseling journey as a youth leader and an after-school program leader to a group of middle schoolers. Soon after, I had the opportunity to lead and mentor college-aged young women to become future leaders. We discussed healthier ways to overcome fear and cope with anxiety, stress, and negative thinking. I became passionate about empowering teen girls and young women to break free from the obstacles that seem to be holding them back in life. After five years of mentoring the youth, I decided to make it into a career.

In 2011, I took my passion in empowering others to a new level and decided to pursue Marriage & Family Therapy. I received my Master's degree in Clinical Psychology with honors. In 2012, I started to provide psychotherapy and helped several families and youths overcome their challenges and enter a more fulfilling life that lines up with their desired goals.
My approach and style of counseling is holistic and strength-based. I like to assess and help my client to find the root cause to their struggles, issues, and challenges. I believe "We repeat what we do not repair." In order to make repairs that are long-lasting we need give adequate attention to those areas in a safe environment. I like to meet where my client is at and find a treatment that will allow them to bloom and thrive. I've worked at schools, clinics, homeless shelters, churches, inpatient, and outpatient facilities.
Some modalities that I like to bring into the room are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Attachment-based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused, Expressive Art Therapy, Strategic Family Therapy, and Christian Counseling.
Outside of counseling, I am an adjunct Psychology Professor at a private university. I enjoy teaching and supporting my students. I am passionate about introducing students to the fascinating world of psychology, and to study how the human mind meets with the external world to shape a person’s behavior, emotion, and motivation.

I've enjoyed walking alongside my clients to find their purpose, their voice, and their passion again. I am here to help my clients achieve a freeing and wholehearted lifestyle that fulfills them. Let me help you learn and develop better ways to handle the issues that are standing in the way of your goals so you can have meaningful connections with yourself and others around you again.
You do not need to do this alone.
